The Pennsylvania Society of Clinical Social Work (PSCSW) is pleased to announce that Gwen Pfeifer, a recent graduate from the School of Social Work, Harrisburg, has won Third Prize in the PSCSW Awards for Clinical Excellence competition. PSCSW gives awards annually to graduating master’s level social work students who submit a case based paper for review by a panel of judges. Ms.

Social Work students at CPH’s Harrisburg campus and cohort sites took part in a national effort that pays tribute to the social work profession.
Six students from Temple University’s School of Social Work recently returned from a 10-day trip to Germany.
During their time abroad, the students visited a hospital in Leipzig to discuss health care policy issues with social work students and faculty from Germany, South Africa, Ukraine, Botswana and India.
Jonathan B. Singer, PhD, LCSW, assistant professor of Social Work at CPH, will be featured on WHYY’s Radio Times on June 20 for a discussion about the rising suicide rate. He will be joined by Thomas Joiner, PhD, professor of psychology at Florida State University and Susan Rogers, Director of Special Projects at the Mental Health Association of Southeastern PA.
